The Bionic Heart

The bionic heart weighs about 2 pounds and is made of titanium and plastic. It can pump more than

The combination of the Brain Computer Interface and powerful Artificial Intelligence Systems is known as shared control. The need from the shared control comes from the fact that BCI depends on acquired brain signals which are quite complex in nature i.e. various human activities show complex patterns of Brain wave signals which are difficult to interpret with current signal processing algorithms so for these complex tasks we can rely on the Artificial Intelligence system let us take an example of a BCI controlled robot which has to avoid obstacles from its path. The default behavior of the robot is to move forward at a constant speed. Then, upon the reception of a mental command it turns left or right by 30 degrees. To avoid obstacle collision, the robot uses its three frontal infrared sensors. Without shared control, the robot stops in front of the detected obstacle and wait for the next mental command. If shared control is enabled, the obstacle module will make the robot turn toward the opposite direction where the obstacle is detected until the path is free.
