There is a big news for all smartphone users. Linux released new open source mobile operating system. After testing its beta version, finally first official version of Tizen is released by Linux. Linux is an open source mobile operating system which is made up by Linux with the help of technical teams of Intel and Samsung. Tizen may be the best competitor of Android OS of Google because it is gaining much more popularity even in its version 1.0.Actually Tizen is generated from the source code of MeeGo, which intel develops for Nokia but Nokia go on for Windows OS. Tizen project is named LiMo (Linux Mobile) by Intel. Tizen is developed for smartphones, tablets, netbooks and smart televisions. Sources are also saying that Samsung is going to integrate its bada OS with Tizen. (means users may be able to use features of Bada OS on Tizen ) . Other than Samsung some more big mobile companies are working to build there new devices for Tizen OS. Due to the features of Tizen and technical mind powers behind this new mobile Operating system, it is definitely going to be a big success. Tizen is supported by leading mobile operators, device manufacturers and silicon suppliers for multiple device categories include Samsung Electronics, NTT Docomo and Intel. China-based Huawei also announced its bid recently to participate in the project.
“Tizen provides a robust and flexible environment for application developers, based on HTML5. It is rapidly becoming the preferred development environment for mobile apps and services,” said officials at the Tizen Association.

| Media Content | This API provides functionality to discover multimedia content (such as images, videos or music). |
| Messaging | This API allows SMS, MMS, IM and Email message sending and receiving. |
| NFC | NFC API allows access to NFC device(s). |
| System Information | This API provides information about the device's display, network, storage and other capabilities. |
