Now TRAI is full set to launch All India MNP service or we can call nation-wide mobile number portability service perhaps in March 2013. According to latest news, TRAI has started pre-consultant process with all mobile

operators. This pre consultant is about to discuss all aspects of All India MNP service. Through this all companies will send their reports to TRAI related to All India MNP service, so that TRAI can regulate new norms according to them. It is came to hear that all mobile operators have to submit their reports on All India MNP service in the starting of next month i.e. March.

                     As it is already official that TRAI was working to implement All India MNP service from a long time & it was also a part of New Telecom Policy of 2012 which was about to provide All India MNP service from the starting months of 2013. So, it's a big relief for people like me who have to change their states after regular intervals of some months but want to keep their mobile number same. Only problem we can face is get our number ported inter state after waiting for more than 15 days. As till now, MNP service for porting mobile numbers within same area needs atleast 10-15 days so we can't expect to get inter state MNP in less than 15 days. But even then I think it will be great care of customers interest as they will be able to keep their permanent number same in all states.
